That was so easy. I feel foolish for having put this off for the past (mumble) years. But I now have a Spanish doctor and am otherwise fully covered under their medical system, despite being an illegal alien. Took maybe 6 minutes to fill out the forms and hand over the copies of the other three documents I needed to get first, and to pick a primary physician. the actual card will take 3 months to show up, but I can start seeing the doctor immediately (should I need to, knock wood but right now I'm doing just fine--aside from a handful of cavities that the dentist is working his way through...)
