Tried to post yesterday but couldn't get thing to work. Been a busy few days. Am ready to have a bit of a collapse.

Yesterday, Sara and I met with one of our editors and she delivered the finished artwork. They bought the book on Oct 14 and with luck it'll be out by Dec 15th. It's called ANDRÉS Y LOS COPISTAS in Spanish, and ANDRÉS AND THE COPYISTS in English. They'll be bringing out editions in both languages,; they being the company that runs the gift shop of the Prado Museum (in addition to 50 other museums or monuments in Spain, but the important one for this book is the Prado, which the story is about...)

Hopefully we won't have to do a book so quickly again. (Especially when considering that, in the month that Sara had in which to finish all the art, we were in NYC for 10 days.) Good thing I'd already completed the text back in July... (for one thing, Sara had read it back then and had time to let the text brew and brainstorm before the sudden decision to buy it and have it out by Christmas.)

Various other interesting things brewing that, until they get further, can't mention just yet. But it's been a busy past few weeks!

We had our monthly social for the SCBWI yesterday, and 4 new people showed up.

Today, bought 2 more kilos of clementines.

Also, went with Sara to the presentation of the awards for Edelvives (children's publisher.) Pretty dull, and the winning books seem uninspired, too, alas. But Sara found out that the editor she'll be working with on some textbooks she'll be illustrating (not texts by me) is a woman we're both fond of, who we know socially, and who she's looking forward to working with.
