Fluey. Pfui!
Oct. 28th, 2008 03:54 pmI had thought I managed to stave off my annual post-Bookfair cold, but it seems to have caught up with me, although a week later than usual.
Last night the weather took a turn for the cold and wet, and even though I did have the foresight to bring an umbrella with me I did get caught in the downpour. Although I was already getting that tickle at the back of the throat that indicates an oncoming cold.
With any luck, I'll be able to get through this before I need to fly again on Saturday.
Today is an absolutely wet and miserable day. I plan to alternate between the couch and bed, with lots of pots of tea and regular doses of Fervex (a French flu medication that's mostly paracetamol and vitamin C and is lovely stuff).
What I hate most about being in this state is that I'm too woozy to even read, let alone concentrate on anything requiring more alertness...
Given the weather outside, though, it seems a perfect time to take refuge at home and rest.
