Book Fair Day 1
Oct. 16th, 2008 12:29 amThe first day of the Buchmesse has gone very well. One new project, about which I should be able to post details in a few weeks. I met one of my UK editors in person for the first time. I also actually signed a set of contracts for a foreign rights sublicense, althouh until they are countersigned I agin won't post anything about them. Plus lots of good socializing and networking (not just at the fair; I just got back from a cocktail at the Cervantes Institute, a dinner, and then a quick spin through the Frankfurter Hof hotel where all the heavy-duty wheeling and dealing tends to happen). Oh, and it turns out that the German anthology MEIN HEIMLISCHES AUGE 5 published two of my poems, so I was given my contributor copies by the publisher. So a busy but positive day.
