Although as usual I brought work with me, I managed to get to none of it, despite an hour delay after boarding before we finally took off. Of course, it is a weird time where you cannot use a computer still and etc. (And not even a courtesy cup of water, pfui.) So I started reading and am enjoying one of the Vatta novels by Elizabeth Moon. (It has been too long since the last Vorkosigan novel from Bujold!)
Am on a German keyboard and cannot find an apostrophe which makes for interesting circumlocutions (especially with possessives). I sound like a non-native speaker of English... :-)
It has already begun to rain, although so far it is only a drizzle. It ALWAYS rains during the Book Fair.
The creperies on the Zeil have all been removed because of construction. Sniff. Although that is one less temptation in my current wheat-free, sugar-free diet... (I will be eating both this week, I am sure, same as what happened when I was in Slovenia in June. Very hard to be so strict when on the road, and not cooking myself. Fortunately my reactions have become less severe, although by the end of the week that may have changed... I wonder if he spelt or other grains are less problematic; there used to be a bakery nearby that made lovely spelt croissants...)
(Spelt=dinkel in German. Farro in Italian. Espelta in Spanish. I try to learn gastronomic terms and words for the places I go, very useful vocabulary to know for someone like me with food... issues.)
