I asked a friend to take a snapshot of me this afternoon, so I could post what the new buzz cut looks like.

I like the convenience of it, not to mention when people rub my head (preferably people I know, although one is not averse to handsome strangers doing likewise...)

It's a warm spring here (27º Celsius right now) although this morning when I woke, since the balcony is still in shadow then, I left the house with a black cashmere sweater on. Alas, I then wound up spending an hour and a half in the sun, sitting in front of and/or walking around the Reina Sofia Museum, while they taped the interview about MARÍA Y EL MUSEO. It'll be a ten minute spot when they're through with it. I'll post a link once they've posted it, although it won't be until mid-June at the earliest.

Welcome to the world of buzz. I've had my hair buzzed most of my adult life, apart from a 3-year stint when I grew it down to my shoulders to see what that would be like. My hair is naturally blond and corkscrew-curly. The attention was interesting but the assumptions (it's a perm, it's bleached, I'm a bottom) were tedious. Buzz is good.

The moment I buzz my hair (something I do fairly often, to different degrees) I get hit on by more bottoms, whereas when I let it grow out I get hit on more by tops. But almost without fail.

I had grown my hair out to shoulder length once, years ago, but it's not especially flattering on me...

Looking good, man. I've always wondered how it would be to buzz my head, or shave it completely. I keep it cropped fairly short, but something always stops me from going stubble-only; mostly I'm just worried that my head is a weird shape or something, and it'll look ridiculous completely shorn.

Well, one can't change the shape of one's head, and who knows, you may one day walk in front of a phrenologist who stops you and reveals some hidden secret about yourself... :-)
