I moved to Spain on January 11, 1999, in what I thought was going to be 6 months.

Yesterday marked 9 years that I've been living here.

And, given that I'm now married to a Spaniard, it's likely I'll be here for a while longer, too.

Funny, that's about how I wound up in Boston, too. I move in Sept 1999 for what was supposed to be 2 years, and then back to Oregon it was going to be. But now we're legally married in this state, and we own a condo, so it doesn't seem like we're leaving any time too soon.
