desayunoencamaI was happy to learn today that both BEST DATE EVER and THE MAMMOTH BOOK OF NEW GAY EROTICA will be offered as Hardcover Exclusives from the InsightOut Book Club.
BEST DATE EVER will be an alternate title for April and THE MAMMOTH BOOK OF NEW GAY EROTICA will be a featured title for June.
InsightOut is the gay and lesbian book club from Bookspan. Members of the SF Book Club can also order these titles from their own club. But it wouldn't hurt to also sign up for the club directly (http://www.insightoutbooks.com) since it always helps the club to have enough members signed up. From what the last editor of the club used to tell me, InsightOut had fewer members than any of the other book clubs, but they were able to stay around because the members bought more books per member than most of the other clubs (no doubt because of the decline in gay and lesbian bookstores in so many areas, making the club such a vital part of keeping queer lit active and around; so if you buy queer books, especially from the chains, why not consider giving InsightOut some support and joining up... Like all the book clubs, you get a great introductory offer, there's a low commitment for books to buy over the next few years, you get news of new queer titles in your mail every few weeks, and there are the exclusive hardcover editions, too. What's not to like?)
