Have fun! I've gone twice and presented papers both times. If you can find someone with a car, latch onto that person so you can get out of the hotel as much as possible; it's situated in a strange place just off the highway, and doesn't allow any pedestrian access to shops or restaurants. Not to slag the hotel food, but it's way expensive and after a couple of days, it's nice to try something else.

Good to know. Especially as a vegetarian, where I assume the options are even more limited. Will have to look into putting by some provisions or something (I'll be visiting my grandmother just beforehand so can shop and stock...)

Are you a vegetarian-who-eats-fish or a vegetarian? There are plenty of places within a short car-drive that are fine for veggie food; plus a really good seafood place very near. And, of an evening, it's usually easy to find a group going to a veggie-friendly restaurant.

I am, alas, mortally allergic to eating fish and shellfish. (For years, I only wanted to be the next Jacques Cousteau, but it was an impractical career-choice given that I have also had reactions when stabbed by the spines of a fish or if I am touching fish all day and touch the corner of my mouth, etc.)

Wanted v. much to go, but I found out about it after I paid for my Lunacon membership, and it's either the same weekend or just too close to swing. I think I will go in 2008, however. Tell me if you like it?
