I finished reading Paul Russell's WAR AGAINST THE ANIMALS this morning, and quite liked it. Probably better than his previous, THE COMING STORM, whose character makes a cameo here.
HAd lunch with the editor who'd published the German edition of SWITCH HITTERS, then coffee with the editor who will be bringing out VACATION IN IBIZA later this fall. They are hoping to have printed books by the Frankfurt Book fair, although books won't be in shops for sale until November. I will have lunch with them (my contact their and one of his colleagues) on Monday.
Yesterday I went to a lousy conceptual performance/dance piece with my host Bernd. Feh!
Then I brought him to a city beach he didn't know about, which I got a small little bit of glee from doing.
This morning was driyzzly, but I took the bike anyway and now iti s sunny and hot again.
I take my backpack everywhere, with a long sleeved shirt just in case, not to mention a towel to wipe off the bike seat, and etc. The weather can change so quickly (and often) here...
