Had a nice, quiet weekend. Yesterday went to Wansee with some friends and didn't get too suburnt. It's sort of funny to think of going to someplace like Berlina ndc oming home more tanned tan when I left Spain. Most Germans do the opposite, of course--flee their often-cold country for sunny Spain. But it has been nice enough. Today is a little overcast but still hot.

Saw Peter Greenaway's DROWNING BY NUMBERS On Saturday night. Strange film. Then went to some party that was held on a boat moored on the river. Not really my cup of tea, but whatever.

I FINALLY manages to finish reading Isherwood's MR. NORRIS CHANGES TRAINS over the weekend, along with Ruth Rendell's BABES INTEHWOODS, and it was with great delight that Ibrought he Isherwood et. al. to a second-ahdn English language bookshop here in Kreuzberg and turned them in for two Sara Paretsky novels.

:-)

I think I will now read Paul Russell's WAR AGAINST THE ANIMALS.
