I seem to have made the society pages again, in EL MUNDO (one of the two main papers in Spain, the other--and actually, the one I read--is EL PAIS) with a little photo of me calling me "The Madrid writer born in New York (which is how we have to say it now that he's been among us for so long)" and a nice squib about Sara and my latest picture book, THE FLYING PILGRIM, about the Camino de Santiago. It's only in the Madrid section, but hey, I'm not complaining. It's hard enough to get any sort of attention for a book, let alone a picture book... and to get a few column inches in EL MUNDO is a very very nice thing.

I hate this!
Jul. 10th, 2004 09:01 pmLooking through my email address book for something else, of course I came across Paula Danziger's contact info. I hate having to remove someone from my files because they've passed away. With my business card rolodex, back in NY, I used to keep people's cards, just turn them around. Of course, I left that entire rolodex back in NY, only taking certain cards with me when I moved here... Too depressing?
But with the online database, it's just so irrevocable. (I guess I'm lucky that I haven't had to do this often in the past half-decade since moving here, but it still sucks.)
