Nothing like the last minute

desayunoencamaOf course, since we're already stressed with pre-trip preparations, today is (when not fighting with Telefonica or taking my antibiotics) non-stop meetings.
This morning Sara and I went to Ediciones Laberinto, finalized negotiating the contracts, signed them, got our check, and delivered two kidzbooks will be out by May: BUSCAR A LA BRUJA (The Search for the Witch) and ¡QUE SUEÑO! (So Sleepy!).
(The third book we were going to do for them got cancelled for production reasons of how many books fit on the signature; the joys of color printing!)
This afternoon I have a meeting at 6pm with the publisher who'll bring out my first collection, and then at 8pm Sara and I will meet our editor from Panamericana who is visiting from Colombia for a course here in Madrid (but will be gone by the time we get back).
I'm beginning to look forward to NYC (not a common response for those who know me or have been reading this blog for a while) since as stressful as I always find it it looks to be calmer (or at least different) than recent life here!
