When my friend Vincent was visitng last weekend, we swapped some mp3 files. One of the things he had was a bunch of French songs, which I've been listening to quite a bit the past few days, especially Jacques Brel and Lara Fabian. One of the nice things about chanson for us non-French speakers is that it is often so slow that I can actually distinguish words. :-)

It's also good practice, letting my ear get used to the intonations of French if nothing else, since Sara and I will be visiting Paris next week.
