One of those over-full days

Nothing too exciting or overwhelming, really, just all sort sof little things happening, and getting distracted from finishing anything because you have to go off and meet with someone else, or take car eof something else, or you turn to another of the too-many-projects-in-process, and etc.
(All acerbated, of course, by the fact that I basically have only one more day in Madrid, since I am leaving so early in the morning on Thursday I probably won't even bother trying to go to bed...)
I will be SO glad when some of these are finally done. Of course, so many are revisions of different stages of projects that, at least for a lttle while, were done, or I didn't need to deal with them, or whatever.
And for the most part they're all going well, except for a 2.5 hour argument with the non-Sara illustrator for the children's book. Sigh.
Weird anecdote of this afternoon: I get a call around 4pm from Berkana, the local gay/lesbian bookstore, where i've been going pretty much every afternoon, to have a pu ehr at the café, and write.
Well, to be honest, while I have been getting a tremendous amount of work done there (especially compared to the little I'd managed to get done for the weeks prior to starting to visit) I mostly go to play with Frida, a kitten they found in a dumpster a month and a half ago.
Anyway, one of the clerks called me today because I wasn't there, and this morning some foreigner had come into the store looking for books by me, and said clerk had said, "Oh, Lawrence comes by every afternoon to write," so said foreigner (an Austrian) came back and I was not, in fact, there, since I had just got back from a meeting and was about to go off to another... But I did swing by and chat with the guy for a little bit, before meeting Sara and taking care of a gazillion things we needed to talk about before I leave.
Nice ego boost in the middle of all the stress and craziness. :-)
