What a long flight to Chicago!

I'm used to the Madrid-NY run, where two batteries for the portable, each lasting a bit less than 3 hours, will get me through the entire flight.

This was 2 hours longer, and I had intentionally not brought a book so as to force myself to get a bit of work done.

And I did manage to do some work, doing one trains-lation, buit mostly getting some actual writing done, much to my own surprise.

The strange thing is that both projects I worked on (both new) are about vampires.

The script of the first 9 pages of a vampire comic Sara and I are developing, and then 5 pages of a vampire erotica piece a French anthologist asked me for (I'm the token gay story, I think) that's due soon.

I'm not even a big fantaic of vampires, and backwhen I was editing the Regional Vampire Series for Cumberland House I pretty well managed to vampire msyelf out. But since I've had a few years to recover, it seems I'm able to face the subject once again.

I also wrote a thousand word squib/essay about Sant Jordi, and a noi (Catlaan for "boy") I met my first year in Spain, that was supposed to be a max of 500 words. Oops. Maybe I can reuse it elsewhere if it's too long, like in a gay paper like FRONTIERS next Spring...

And then brainstormed and wrote a few pages longhand of two or three fantasy stories I might continue with at some point.

A productive/generative flight, I guess. Although they usually are for me.
