Gluten Update
Mar. 8th, 2008 02:03 amWent to gastroenterologist today and she wants me to have the biopsy despite the bloodwork coming back negative.
Which means I need to go back to eaten grains again.
I had a bowl of instant oatmeal this afternoon, since I wasn't sure if oats were as problematic as wheat, but sure enough I had a reaction: headache first, my ears turned red, I did wind up with a mild rash/hives outbreak, etc.
Sigh.
Not sure WHEN the biopsy will be scheduled for, but I'm supposed to go back to eating grains to counteract the 6 weeks I've been off them (and feeling so much better!)
At least this will make Bologna a little easier later this month, since I used to eat so well there as a gluten-eating vegetarian...
