Sep. 28th, 2006 12:07 amTHE FUTURE IS QUEER is back from the printers!
My editors will be bringing me a copy to Frankfurt next week.
The book is a November pub date, so if distribution goes smoothly it may be in stores in the US by the end of October, maybe sooner in Canada.
Nice to have a copy of a new book to look forward to, since right now I feel like I'm treading water at a furious pace and not getting very far. Tomorrow I'm off to Liber all day for meetings. But there've been all sorts of other meals and nonesuch with people in town for the book fair, which are nice, but distracting from getting work done.
At least, yesterday, I managed to pick up a handful of copies of my catalog from the printer! Today they dropped off the rest of them at Berkana, and I've schlepped the boxes home. They look quite nice, although at the last moment we had contrasted all the cover images, which seemed like a good idea at the time, but they've all now printed too darkly. But even still, I'm quite pleased with it. It's got a solidity that amazes even myself sometimes, and they're my own bookses. :-) And I love how the matte cover feels. I want to just pet it all day.
So far I've only found one typo (an extra space before the last letter of a word). Hopefully there aren't too many more. :-)
