My side is feeling MUCH better today.

I'm not sure what contributes most to my healing: the staying home and resting, or the not-working... ;-)

Today I haven't left the house at all.

Yesterday, I did make a single excursion, with my friend Jesus, where we went to Casa del libro to browse their sale tables. (This month they seem to be liquidating much of their non-Spanish stock.) I escaped with only two purchases: a sci-fi novel by a local writer I know but hadn't yet read (it was down to 2,50Euros) and then, ironically since I was just in Amsterdam but bought this when I came home to Madrid, a translation from the Dutch, of an illuminated manuscript from 1585 of whales and other marine animals (actual or imaginary).

Today I tried reading one of Sharon Lee & Steve Miller's Liaden novels. I don't know if it didn't agree with me, or I was just very tired, but I didn't make it very far before falling asleep for a 4 hour siesta... I've set it aside, and am trying Bear's HAMMERED, instead. (Although it is much more dystopian than I am in the mood for, I'm afraid; why I didn't start it the last few times I picked it up and considered it...)
