Home at last
Apr. 25th, 2005 10:43 pmGot back to Madrid yesterday afternoon. Still pretty exhausted from trip, so will only mention three things right now:
Went to the dentist today. Only filled one cavity. Used a new anaesthetic that put only the tooth to sleep, instead of the entire jaw on that side. Works very fast.
Now I just have a cleaning, a month from now, and that's it until the fall. Whew.
Saturday was Sant Jordi in Barcelona (why Sara and I went), that lovely holiday where one gifts a book and a rose to loved ones.
I made a wee memorization mistake and kept signing "tingues" instead of "tinguis" in the Catalan copies of L'AVENTURA DE LA CECILIA I EL DRAC. Oops.
Last week, Congress approved the reforms to Matrimony to redefine marriage as the union between two conjugal partners (thus allowing same-sex unions, which would have all the same benefits as heterosexual unions) instead of the previous definition of marriage as the union between a man and a woman. Very groundbreaking and progressive.
In a few months, should I need to get married to get my residence issues resolved, I could do so with a boy!
