Just in time
Apr. 2nd, 2005 12:53 amI set a load of laundry to wash just before I went to the dentist this morning, and hung it out to dry when I came home. So naturally, a few hours later, it got very threateningly cloudy, and just in case I started pulling in those items, like socks, which had already dried. But it seemed to be just a false alarm, since the sky cleared up again, so I left the rest of the clothes on the line. Glad I'm a night owl, since a few minutes ago it started raining, and I dashed out to bring in the rest of the mostly-dried laundry. Whew!
My upstairs neighbor seems to be having a party, and neither warned me in advance nor invited me to it. (He is supposedly a friend from before he moved to the building, but lately we have very little actual relation.) Sigh.
I have read some Charlotte MacLeod novels lately, and am now reading Diane Duane's A WIZARD'S HOLIDAY. Depending on how late the cacophony upstairs goes, I may even finish it tonight...
