Why I don't take part in the 50 books challenge

Yesterday, the local second-hand bookshop called to let me know they'd gotten in copies of Alxeander McCall Smith's THE KALAHARI TYPING SCHOOL FOR MEN and THE FULL CUPBOARD OF LIFE, 4th and 5th volumes in his series about Precious Ramotswe, and I've now already read them, the 49th and 50th books I've read this year.

Today, Feb 22, is only the 53rd day of the year.

I need to either work more or go out more or something.

Of course, next week I start traveling again, and will be on the road approximately two weeks (not necessarily consecutively) a month through July... So I will let myself be as much of a homebody as I can now, and read as much as I want now, so long as I meet my deadlines, which are much fewer now that so many projects have been cancelled, and...
