Blah

I'm not feeling too good. I was already not feeling good yesterday; Sunday I was insomniac unti maybe 5.30am, then woke too early with a headache that I thought was from lack of sleep. But this morning I still had it. And las tnight I made champiñones al ajillos (fried mushrooms with garlic) which I am normally OK with (I don't digest wild mushrooms very well, but ordinary white mushrooms haven't really given me much problems before) and I was all bloated and upset stomach until the wee hours of the morning last night, despite having gone to bed relatively early for me (before midnight! albeit, JUST before... :->)

But today's good news is that while neither Sara nor I have copies, our agent in Madrid was sent her copies and she let me borrow some today. So I finally have some in my hands.

The problem is: Sara's copies were sent to her Madrid address over the summer while she was in Cadiz, and so they were returned.

My copies were sent to NYC, where there's no one there to accept a package and who knwos what will happen to them, if they're left and not sent back.

I pointed out to them that it's not my fault that the copies were sent to NYC, the contract stipulates that they should come to me in Madrid c/o the agent, so while I'm sorry they lost some copies, that's their mistake, not mine. Hopefully, my copies will therefore be sent to me as per the contract.

This poor book has had nothing but trouble, which is a bit strange, because everyone agrees it's a nice book. It's just had a difficult birth. Hopefully things will look up from here on in.

We'll be having a booklaunch in Madrid at children's bookstore La mar de letras on October 15th, the day before my birthday. :-)
