Daniel Hood

I've just read A FAMILIAR DRAGON, an omnibus including the novels FANUILH, WIZARD'S HEIR, and BEGGAR'S BANQUET by Daniel Hood. These are actually quite well-written fantasy mysteries, witha lot more depth and texture than their very generic-sounding Ace mid-list titles suggest. I am very pleased to note that there are two more adventures published, but sad to see that Ace discontinued the series (there is an unpublished sixth novel written, according to the author's homepage). Will hunt up the two adventures I'm missing when am back in the US in Nov.
